First Day of Official Homeschooling

Well, Yesterday was our first official day of homeschool and Ani's first official day of Kindergarten.  I say official because we dabbled last year but this is the first serious, no dabbling year.

She reminds me of my alma mater, QCS, when she is in her uniform.  Her top is a light pink instead of QCS's white, but besides that she looks just like a QCS student.  It brings back memories!  I decided to go with a uniform because all students here where them so it wouldn't feel like school without one, and because it helps differentiate between school time and non-school time.

So far things have gone surprisingly well.  It's been a nice change of pace - kinda nice to have an excuse to keep more structure in our days :)

  1. You should have a few local kids like 2 for example with her and teach them English as well that will keep her sociable and help those 2 other kids later in life as well. As I educated my daughter as well you may find it useful to later sign her up for an online school that will keep you focus well in her study and have a certificate recognize in USA. Just a thought!
