Waking up Momma, Yelling at Bugs and more...

I normally just post mainly pictures but I have realized that all the cute little stories that I think I'll remember, I will probably end up forgetting. So now and then, I am going to try to write some of them down.

The first one is from this morning. She woke up unusually early and I was still so tired I didn't want to wake up. So I let her play beside the bed and I just closed my eyes. Well, first she tried hitting the bed to wake me up which worked at first but then I was able to ignore it. I continued to very peacefully rest my eyes, unaware that her little brain was working on a way to get me up. The next thing I knew I felt something hit my face. I opened my eyes and there were my glasses in her little hand. She had gotten them off the bedside table and decided it was time I put them on!

The next has been going on for a while, but it just cracks me up every time. Ani is a little afraid of bugs so when she sees one she will grab whoever's hand is there and say "bet! bet!" which means bug! Well Manis will usually yell at the bug and say, "Go away bug! Don't eat daddy's little girl!" and kick it or wipe it away (sometimes it is just an ant). Then Ani will suddenly get all this courage and start yelling at the bugs too, kicking her feet and acting like she is going to hit them. Yesterday she actually stepped on an ant! Don't tell those animal rights people! They might arrest her!

Finally, this morning she dirtied her diaper. I picked her up to change her and she said, "Stinky!" hahaha... oh how I love this little girl!

  3. I am glad I am not alone. Who says you can't grow up in Haiti and hate bugs at the same time? ; ) She is so cute! I wish I could be there to see the stories unfold in real time, but hearing them is second best!
