The past two weeks have been a nightmare in so many ways but little Ani has no idea what has been going on and has just been her happy little self. She has been the bright spot in my day through all of this. These are just a few pictures we've taken...
Well, yesterday I finally did it. I bit the bullet and put her down outside. Of course she was not at all fazed by the dirt and rocks but I wasn't quite sure I wanted my sweet little baby in all of that! But after fighting with her numerous times (she wanted down and I didn't want to put her down!) I finally gave in. It was bound to happen someday! I know Nathan and Steven and I were in the dirt all the time and we survived so I guess it won't kill her :) Mom, I made sure to bathe her with Dial last night! ;)
The above pictures I took out front when we went to "help" Manis water the trees. Below are picture we took on our land across the airstrip. She LOVED being on the ground... we just had to watch her so she didn't eat the rocks!
Well, at long last, here they are! This is the chicken I told you about that Ani got so dirty crawling after. He stands upright because somehow his back got broken. He is so cute!
I am sorry it has been so long since I posted new pictures! With Ani getting more active I have less time! Plus the internet has been so slow due to it being overcast a lot. This one picture doesn't really capture how active Ani is but I grabbed the camera when she pulled the drawer open and started pulling things out... it has begun! She is pulling herself to standing on just about everything - her crib, the couch, my office chair, even the wall! She has taken a few tumbles but hasn't been hurt too badly. Sometimes she doesn't even cry! Of course my heart stops every time! PS I promise I will take a picture of the chicken soon!
