Ani's First Tantrum

Aunt Lara sent Ani a great book about a lighthouse. It lights up and plays this little light of mine. It is adorable. Ani LOVES it! In fact she loves it so much that it was the cause of her first tantrum! I had to take the book away to change her diaper. She SCREAMED. I thought it couldn't possibly be the book but I gave it back to her to see... she quieted right down! Thanks so much for the book Lara! Tell your dad he did a great job!

Seeing Red

The cute little watermelon hat was from a pastor from Canada (Scott Stein) who visited us last week and his wife. The other picture I just thought was cute.

First Braids

Josiane braided Ani's hair! It didn't last very long but it was awfully cute!

Visiting Friends

Ani was all smiles with one of her many big brothers, Samuel.

We spent one night with the Louis family. This is Ani with three of their children, Diana, Farah, Marc Edouard "Marco," and a little girl friends of theirs are adopting, Hadassah. They joked that if Ani spent much time there she would never learn to walk because she would be held all the time :)

With Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Dave

We had a great time with Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Dave. I somehow ended up with no picture of Ani with Uncle Dave but she loved them both. Aunt Phyllis had all kinds of toys ready for her and even made her a pound puppy! It is so cute! I will post a picture soon! On our last night there she fell asleep on Aunt Phyllis. She won't fall asleep with just anybody so that says a lot about how attached she got to her. Uncle Dave made funny duck sounds and even dropped off a dirty diaper at the lab for her! Aunt Phyllis was so patient and sat and played with her and walked her and even held her so I could eat! I also got to "help" Aunt Phyllis decorate for Christmas. I am not sure how much help I was, but it was fun. Aunt Phyllis also gave me a 7.5 foot tree and lots of stuff to decorate so today I decorated our house. Ani loves the lights! I will post pics of that soon too.

A Visit to the Lemuel School

We stopped by the school in Port-au-Prince just around recess time. The kids loved Ani but after a while she got a little overwhelmed by all the noise and burst into tears!

Just a few from today

Standing in Her Crib

She was trying to pull herself up on the bumper pads but they aren't sturdy enough so I stood her up and put her little hands on the side. She was so happy!

Starting to Crawl!

She has started getting up on her hands and knees! She wants so badly to move but usually ends up going backwards and gets a bit frustrated!

Getting so Big!

We gave Ani a few Cheerios to see what she would do. She was so excited to pick them up and would get them in her tight little grasp. Then she would put her fist in her mouth! When she would open her hand to see what happened the cheerio would fall out and she would go for another one. I think she ended up getting one though I am not quite sure how! She still loves chewing on her bottle ;)

Mommy's New Office

YAY!!! No more terrible green color! I like the green in Ani's dress but NOT on my walls! There is even some carpet on the floor so Ani can play in my office without me worrying about her hitting her head on the ciment! YAY!
