4 month Vaccine

On Wednesday (14th) we went to the CAM clinic at La Source to get Ani's vaccine. What a road! We bounced along for over an hour to get there. She did so well. She hardly even cried! We even got her weighed (on a real baby scale) and she is almost 16 pounds! After we got home, though, and those mean viruses started attacking her little body, she got so sick. It was much worse than the 2 month vaccine. Last time she just slept all day. This time she cried harder than I have ever heard her cry. I just had to keep telling myself it would be worse if she actually got the virus itself. I felt so terrible!

We took these pictures in the car outside the clinic as we were leaving. Her face in the first one just cracks me up. I think she was trying to describe her experience!

Holding the Bottle

Though she doesn't exactly suck on the bottle, she does enjoy chewing on it. We were shocked, though, when she held it all by herself!

Fun with Grandma

Grandma, Widlica, and Ani!

Mom put a tiny bit of Key Lime Pie on the tip of her fork and put it in Ani's mouth. She loved it! She kept trying to reach for more!
Her arm is blocking her face but her mouth was wide open trying to get at that pie!

Story time with Grandma. She has to hold the book. If you hold it away from her she will keep reaching for it (partly because she wants to eat it). She really does love being read to already! Sometimes she cries when we close the book! (Again, that could be because she had really wanted to eat the page!)

Bath Time!

Ani LOVES her bath! It was a particularly hot day so mom (Grandma) bathed her out on the porch. She kicked so much I think she gave her grandma a bath too!

Dress from Vicky

This little dress was in Ani's very first package to arrive in Haiti. It was from Vicky, whom I worked with at CVS. It is SO cute! I love it!

The Bottle

As you can see Ani is not a great fan of bottles. She likes chewing on it but then water comes out and she gets a little confused so she pushes it away, then she reaches out to grab it again because she wants to chew on it... and around and around it goes!

Today was SO HOT! Mom was blowing in her face and she was laughing and getting so excited :)

Grandma's Dress!

This little yellow dress was my mom's when she was a baby! I would tell you how old that makes it but she might kill me ;) Mom bought her the little Amish bonnet in Bird-in-Hand :)
